Method 1 — Measure a Ring You Own
Use this method if you already have a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
1. Choose a ring that fits well.
Select a ring that fits the same finger you plan to wear your PurpleSea ring on.
2. Measure the inside diameter.
Place the ring on a ruler and measure straight across the inside of the ring, from inner edge to inner edge.
Do not include the thickness of the ring itself.
3. Find your size.
Use the Internal Diameter column in the size chart below to find your corresponding US ring size.

Method 2 — Measure Your Finger
Don't have a ring to measure? You can find your size using a thin strip of paper.
You’ll need:
A thin strip of paper, a pen, and a ruler.
Step 1
Cut a thin strip of paper approximately 5–10 mm wide.
Step 2
Wrap the paper comfortably around the base of the finger where you plan to wear your ring.
It should feel snug, but not tight.
Step 3
Mark the point where the paper overlaps.
Step 4
Lay the paper flat and measure the distance from the end of the paper to your mark in millimeters.
This measurement is your finger circumference.
Compare it with the Finger Circumference column in the chart above to find your ring size.
Tips for the Best Fit
Finger size can change slightly throughout the day, so we recommend measuring more than once.
- Measure your finger at the end of the day, when fingers are typically slightly larger.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold or hot.
- Measure the exact finger you plan to wear the ring on — the same finger on each hand can be a different size.
- Make sure the ring will fit comfortably over your knuckle.
- If your measurement falls between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size.
- For wider or statement-style rings, you may prefer a slightly roomier fit.
